Developing Officers (2 hours)

This online leadership development program prepares law enforcement personnel at every career stage to develop people, teams, and organizational capacity. Grounded in the progression SELF → TEAM → ORGANIZATION → COMMUNITY, the program treats leadership development as a daily supervisory responsibility rather than a function reserved for rank or formal training. Participants learn to distinguish coaching, mentoring, training, counseling, supervision, and accountability; build judgment through reflection and questions; deliver fair, actionable feedback; develop officers and future leaders; and create systems that support trust, succession, and community-centered professional service. The program is designed for asynchronous LMS delivery with scenario-based practice, reflection, knowledge checks, module assessments, and a leadership development capstone.
