Leadership for Field Training Officers (4 hours)

This four-hour online program prepares Field Training Officers and law enforcement leaders to develop capable, ethical, independent police professionals. Built around the progression of self, team, organization, and community, it examines the FTO’s influence on judgment, culture, performance, accountability, and public trust. Participants apply the LEADER Framework to coaching, evaluation, feedback, documentation, decision-making, remediation, wellness, and organizational stewardship through realistic field-training situations. By the end, learners can create a practical leadership action plan for developing officers while maintaining clear, fair, and defensible standards.
